News about nuts and nuts in the news seem to go hand in hand these days. But all kidding aside, nuts continue to be one of the best go to snacks. And now Walnuts get a special high five.

The University of Pennsylvania studied the effects of walnuts as part of a healthy diet. They showed that eating 2-3 ounces of walnuts per day was associated with positive changes in the gut biome. The fatty acids, fiber and bio active compounds in walnuts acted as critical food and nutrition for the gut microbiome and produced beneficial bacteria. All hail digestion!

And we all know that walnuts are the best nut around to promote brain health. There’s a reason they are shaped like little brains. There are even more walnut health benefits too.
