Ever heard of Sorghum? Me either until a couple of months ago. Turns out the Sorghum grain is not only lectin-free, gluten free and keto-friendly but it’s packed with antioxidants. These deliver health benefits that can help lower your risk of cancer, diabetes, heart disease and some neurological diseases.
And you can pop sorghum in the microwave to make healthy sorghum popcorn. Just like a popcorn kernel!
I had NO idea. Even my 4-year old loves this and asks for it as a snack. Mom for the win!
Prep Time: 2 minutes
Cook Time: Varies depending on your microwave
- 1/2 cup organic Sorghum
- 1/2 tsp Garlic powder
- 1/8 tsp iodized Salt
- 1 tbsp olive oil or avocado oil
- 1 tsp Rosemary
Combine ingredients into a microwave safe bowl (preferably glass). Leave plenty of room at the top of the bowl for the finished product to pop up and not spill out.
Cover with damp paper towel to aid in absorption & prevent a giant mess
Microwave for :30 second intervals to avoid burning. May take 1-2 minutes total depending on your microwave.
**Do NOT leave this unattended while you pop to avoid burning (which is the worst smell, trust me!)
Let cool and enjoy!
**BUY INSTEAD OF DIY**
Short on time?? I get it. You can also just BUY IT for $8.99 and have it shipped to your house from Amazon. Ahh simplicity - Enjoy!
