DIY Healthy Vanilla Latte
Starbucks anyone? Making your coffee at home during COVID isn't the same as your fave go-to spot.Try this DIY Healthy Vanilla Latte to brighten your mornings!
INGREDIENTS
3/4 cup almond milk, or your favorite non-dairy plant milk, unsweetened [pre-heat to get to room temperature or warmer first]
1 TBSP maple syrup
1 TBSP vanilla extract
1/4 cup coconut milk, full-fat
Your favorite hot breed coffee (ideally using organic blends or k-cups)
INSTRUCTIONS
Brew coffee as you usually would using your favorite blend and device.
Separately in a medium-sized cup or measuring cup, combine all ingredients - either by whisking vigorously or using a coffee frother (definitely a GREAT investment piece by the way. I bought mine on Amazon and use it daily!)
The goal is to get a lighter, bubbly mixture. Pre-heat the plant-based milk beforehand and this helps!
Pour this mixture directly on top of the coffee {presumably already in a mug, just waiting for this goodness to arrive}
Sprinkle the top with a bit of cinnamon and ENJOY!
Hey - it's not Starbucks, but it's a little something different. Plus you get a boost of antioxidants in these ingredients so drink up!
